It All Started with a Hammer and a Dream
-
Two young people with a dream of owning their own business someday started mentoring in construction during their high school days. Jacob Meck mentored under Malinda’s Dad, weekends, nights, and summers during high school. Then in 1995, he got his own contractor’s license, and so the dream began to become a reality. Construction has been in Malinda Meck’s family for generations. Being the oldest of four girls, she spent a lot of time shadowing her Dad on the job while building their family home and working with clients.

These two young people decided to make a lifelong commitment to each other in marriage and also started their own company, Jacob S. Meck Construction LLC. With a knowledge of the construction trade and hands-on jobsite experience, Malinda moved into office work. Call the office and you’ll be taken care of by our staff with prompt and friendly service. Jacob honed his skills in blending existing homes into new additions, making it difficult to tell where the old stopped and the new began. Jacob S Meck Construction soon evolved into a client-oriented expertise on details. From the initial contact to the final completion of the job, we take pride in ensuring that all details are taken care of. Often, you’ll hear someone say, “the devil’s in the details,” and when you hear that, you know that Jacob S Meck Construction is paying attention.

Jacob S. Meck Construction has always taken pride in maintaining a clean and neat jobsite. When you are working on remodels or additions, the client doesn’t need any more interference in their daily lives than absolutely necessary. One way we do that is to provide portable toilets for our staff, regardless of the job. Due to some mergers and buyouts, our toilet rental vendor was no longer an option for service. After trying unsuccessfully to find a new vendor, Jacob and Malinda looked at each other one day and said, “How hard can it be to clean portable toilets?” Thus began the next saga of the dream, and The Outhouse LLC was started. We shifted our focus to details, friendly staff interaction, and consistent service values from Jacob S. Meck Construction to the Outhouse clients. Soon our clients were requesting additional services needed for event rentals, septic tank service, and pumping, and commercial clients with many types of pumping needs, so again, we expanded to take care of this.

While starting Outhouse LLC, another opportunity was presented to the Mecks, and during the fall of 2006, they took over management of County Disposal Service. In January of 2007, they agreed to purchase the company, and so began Allegheny Disposal LLC. Don’t want to haul nasty, leaking, smelly bags of household trash away for disposal? Then call us, and we’ll be there weekly to take care of the nasty stuff for you. Do you have a business and need your garbage hauled away from your shop or office? Call us. We have multiple sizes of dumpsters to service your location. Construction site or maybe a garage clean out project, we have several sizes of roll off dumpsters that we can set on site for you to fill

JacMal is born!
Working with our clients to provide package services of portable toilets and dumpster services for construction sites, commercial businesses, and homeowners, it soon became apparent that another service was needed: the rental of portable storage containers. JacMal Properties LLC became the provider of portable self-storage containers. Jobsites need safe, secure, and dry places to store tools and materials.
Doing a home remodel and need a temporary place to store your furniture and items during construction? The office joke soon became that we can store your treasures, haul your unwanted “treasures,” or we might even find a book of matches for you, since everyone likes options.
-
As our clients continued to express their need for services, we soon found out that they also required self-storage units to store their belongings. We now have multiple self-storage buildings with a range of unit sizes available.
